Welcome

I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in May 2010.  As I share in my post, How Am I Going to Travel Gluten Free?, one of my immediate concerns was how my gluten intolerance would affect me on my travels.

I initially wrote about gluten-free travel on my travel blog, Katie Going Global, but I realized the topic really deserved a dedicated site of its own.

I created Globally Gluten Free in May 2011 to:

  • Share my experiences eating gluten-free as I travel (see my Blog).
  • Review and recommend gluten-free friendly restaurants in my hometown of Chicago and around the world (see Reviews).
  • Provide a comprehensive list of online resources for gluten-free travelers, including web sites and personal blogs (see Online Resources).

I am researching and updating the information provided on this site on an ongoing basis. Be sure to subscribe to my RSS Feed to get updates!

If you would like to contribute to Globally Gluten Free or would like your blog or web site listed, please e-mail me at katie@globally-glutenfree.com.
