My office recently held its holiday party at Dave & Buster’s. Before RSVPing to attend, I asked the organizers to check with the restaurant about gluten-free options. The set-up was going to be a buffet, so I was basically hoping they could tell me which of the buffet options would be ok. They did one better and agreed to cook me up my own meal. Now, Dave & Buster’s does not have a gluten-free menu on its website, so I wasn’t sure what to expect – I have found things can sometimes be tricky at sports bars where their specialties revolved around breaded, fried food. I am happy to report that I was very pleasantly surprised! When I arrived, they gave me a menu with gluten-free options (presumably this would be available to anyone dining there, not just for private parties, but you may want to call ahead and doublecheck). It had several chicken, salmon and steak options for entrees, 4 or 5 sides and several salads. I opted for the grilled chicken with green beans and spicy rice. The chicken was superb – very juicy and full of flavor. The beans and rice were good too – and they weren’t kidding when they called it “spicy” rice – my Minnesotan taste buds were on fire!
Again, I was visiting Dave & Buster’s as part of a private party, but I would hope that would be just as accomodating to someone dining there on any given night. Based on this experience, I would definitely go back.

Thanks, Katie!
My 15 y/o was diagnosed with severe gluten allergy last October.
She has a birthday party to go to at Dave and Buster’s and I couldn’t find any gluten-free info at all on the D&B web site. You just sealed the deal. She’s going to go.
All the best to you and thanks for your blog!

You’re welcome Lisa! I would recommend calling them beforehand anyway, just to be sure that your location can be as accommodating as the one I went to here in Chicago.
